This role offers a unique opportunity to make a high impact contribution within a dynamic, client first company committed to simplifying access to financial services for global businesses. We are a fast-paced and client-driven company with offices located in Miami, New York, CDMX and Montevideo.

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Tech Lead to drive the development and scalability of our platform. In this role, you will lead by example, guiding the engineering team in building robust and scalable solutions across all business verticals. You will play a key role in shaping our technical strategy, ensuring best practices, and driving execution with a focus on performance and innovation. Additionally, you will work closely with the Head of Product and Head of Growth to align technology with business goals, ensuring seamless execution and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Strategy & Execution: Define and implement the long-term technical vision, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Set key engineering metrics and drive execution to align with business objectives.
• Ownership & Decision Making: Take full ownership of architectural and technical decisions, ensuring high-quality implementation. Make critical calls that guide the team toward success and maintain system reliability.
• Problem Anticipation & Mitigation: Proactively identify potential technical challenges and bottlenecks. Implement solutions to prevent disruptions and ensure continuous, efficient delivery.
• Hands-on Leadership & Mentorship: Lead by example, providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
• Execution & Accountability: Translate strategy into action, driving technical initiatives forward. Ensure the team stays focused, delivers high-quality code, and maintains accountability for their work.
• Culture Fit: Preferably, the candidate should have experience in a fast-paced startup environment, ideally in fintech.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Engineering Lead in a startup environment, managing technical teams (e.g., developers, DevOps).
• Proven experience with fintech projects or startups is a strong advantage.
• Relevant expertise with Python/Django for backend development, and React for frontend development.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
• Hands-on coding ability to unblock the team or address critical issues when needed.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of AWS for cloud infrastructure
• Experience working in hypergrowth, Series A or Series B fintech startups
• Experience building Banking, Payments, Lending or Credit products
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Exposure to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence or machine learning
