About Pulsar

At Pulsar, we're on a mission to transform how factories run, using real-time data and AI to make industrial operations smarter and more effective. Pulsar’s hardware and software platform provides real-time factory insights and analytics with a single-visit setup. The company operates in the US, Canada, Mexico and Latam. Backed by leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms and recognized by Stanford University, Pulsar offers a unique opportunity to drive digital transformation in industrial operations.

About the Role

We’re hiring a QA Engineer to help ensure our product is fast, reliable, and user-friendly. As our first dedicated QA hire, you’ll take ownership of quality across our Platform and will work closely with the CEO and the Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams. You will define feature specs, write automated tests, and manually test new features as if you were a customer—thinking through edge cases and unexpected behaviors.
This is a hands-on role for someone excited to make a real impact on a product that’s already powering hundreds of factories across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute test plans for new features, improvements, and bug fixes
Perform manual testing of UI flows to catch edge cases and usability issues
Write and maintain automated tests using Cypress and Jest
Integrate test automation into CI using GitHub Actions
Debug frontend issues using DevTools, React/Redux DevTools, and Storybook
Validate REST API functionality, schemas, and error handling using tools like Postman or cURL
Reproduce and validate customer-reported bugs
Contribute minor code fixes (CSS, layout, translations)

Requirements

QA experience testing modern web applications
Proficiency with Cypress, Jest, GitHub Actions, and debugging tools
Experience using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools for API testing
Familiarity with React/Redux and component-driven UI workflows
Ability to effectively use AI tools (e.g., for test generation, summarizing logs, or writing assertions)
Ability to create clear technical specs and communicate findings effectively
Strong attention to detail and ability to think like an end-user
Comfortable making minor frontend fixes (e.g., CSS, copy, layout)
Location: preferably in Santiago, Chile, but open to candidates across America.
